Baskets braided from water hyacinth rope, finished with looped or scalloped top edges. The range runs from shallow rectangular trays with cut-out handles through to deep round baskets and oval carriers, one of which has a leather strap handle.
Water hyacinth has a heavier, ropier texture than seagrass and holds its shape well when a basket is filled, so this group works for towel storage, magazine and slipper presentation, and planter covers in public areas.
